Everyone has a secret. Things we don’t want people to know because we are embarrassed, too proud, or too private. We keep secrets because some things are too intimate and special for anyone else to know.
But sometimes we keep secrets because we may feel like we will be harshly judged and don’t want to invite the criticism that may follow. Often, we just simply don’t know who we can trust with sensitive information because it might illicit unwanted gossip.
For example, you would never know I have an “open” marriage. I’m not the lady in the 4-inch heels at school pick-up that wears skin-tight jeans or has DD implants. I don’t have wild parties where people stagger home with someone else’s spouse because they picked their car keys from a bowl on the coffee table.
I’m just another mom who drives a sensible car, does the grocery shopping, wears clothes from Ann Taylor, goes jogging to stay fit — and occasionally has sex with men who are not my husband.
If I ever told you about this part of my life — which I probably wouldn’t unless you were an extremely close friend — your first reaction might be “What? How? But...what about your kids?”

New tourist attraction Swingers Putt Putt putting Taup? on the map
It's minigolf, but not as we know it.
Taup?'s latest tourist attraction - Swingers Putt Putt is not so much putting Taup? on the map, as putting punters on the map of Taup?.
Owner and developer of The Landing Jamie Keehan is the ultimate tour guide as we traverse the minigolf course - the final stage of a wider development that includes 10-pin bowling, a trampoline park, restaurant, cafe, laundromat, icecream shop and bar.
Jamie never stands still and this tour is all about getting more sponsors on board to raise money for charity.
He wants to raise $30,000 a year for good causes by adding sponsors to each of the features on the course.
Already, $10,000 has been given to the T?rangi Squash Club and another $10,000 to a kohanga reo.
There are plenty more attractions for sponsors to add their branding to, for a cost of $1000 a year - all of which will be donated to charity.

When We Started 'Swinging' It Was Either Go Big Or Go Home
Here is my brief story of entering the swinger lifestyle.
Until recently my husband and I had never seriously considered swinging. It had come up in passing when discussing fantasies, but that was pretty much it.
Then we had a few weeks of intense discussion and spent a brief amount of time doing some reading online, and eventually, I agreed to go to a swinger's club. We researched various clubs in our state, selected one, and headed there with the full intention of finding a couple for a full swap.
So why did we take this 'jumping into the deep end approach?
My husband says it is because we are engineers, and therefore expect that once the necessary data has been analyzed and a decision reached, we are all in.
Maybe we're just impulsive. Maybe I would have wimped out otherwise. Maybe it's because we went to mega-State U and were raised to believe that if you are going to do something do it big or don’t do it at all.
From what I have learned since starting to swing, apparently, this “Go Big Or Go Home” approach is NOT the most common.
If you are new or just considering swinging, you are probably in the majority if you take a more gradual approach.

Swinging couple says that their relationship has never been better
Sydney-based couple Jess and Jay say that they have never been happier for opening their relationship to other partners, but that it works because they have strict rules and strong communication around them.
It’s rare to find someone that would say they’d like to see their significant other in a compromising position with someone else.
The usual suspects would probably get in the way – self-esteem, jealousy and, of course, the monogamous rules of the relationship. However, a Sydney couple decided to remove those rules and ‘open’ their relationship to swinging, saying that it has made their relationship all the more solid.
Speaking on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Sydney residents Jess and Jay explained that they started out with a closed or ‘monogamous’ relationship after meeting on Tinder two years ago.
